I recently restored and sold a 77 cb750f, and am nearly finished with a (former basket case) cb750k5.  This is a place to share, learn and enjoy.  I am grateful to and for 99+% of this site's membership.

How was the ignition mounted to the bike on the years they were under the gas tk on the frame ?

With something like this

The previous owner cut the stock plug off, so I wasn't feeling too bad about relocating my switch.  You can see mine mounted to a bracket I waterjet just below my side cover.  It's out of the way, and not noticeable while riding but still easy to reach.

I used the switch from Lossa, pretty sure some other vendors sell the same one.

Also on a '78 CB550, but far from a factory ignition mounting solution.  I like FunJimmy's stock-adapted ignition!

So do I jimmy, so do I.  But hey, isn't it always easier and faster the second time?
