Many of us use the Dupli-Color engine enamel cermic good to 500 degrees. Color is" DE 1615 aluminum". You can get it in the squirt can at auto stores. Good luck with your project.

I just did my engine last winter with the dupli-color and rode it all summer.  I put on three light coats and I haven't had a problem with bubbling, pealing or cracking.  I've had some gas spilt on it and it wasn't effected.  It gives it a nice new aluminum shine.  Just be sure to clean the surface well before painting.

I have a '75, CB750F and used the VHT Aluminum caliper paint (nice and thin, 2 coats from a spray can) as recommended elsewhere on the forum and baked it at 400 degrees per the recommendations on the label.  All that said, she is not rolling yet so I cannot confirm how robust the coating will be.  For sure its nearly a direct match to the factory color, which I wanted to maintain.  Also you should know that you would want to lay on as thin a layer as possible to get the job done as the paint will hold in engine heat which is a bad thing, lots about that ere on the forum.
