I bought my first bike and new project a few months back. I got a cb550 with a clean title for a decent price. I was looking for a winter project so I didnt care if the bike was in running condition. I found this bike and was told something in the transmission was bad because it wouldn't turn over. Turns out the cam chain tensioner was broken. Since I had to tear into the motor I decided to pull the bike apart and paint the frame, tank and side covers. Pulled motor apart ended up finding a failed tensioner and cam chain guide. Pulled out multiple broken pieces. Ordered replacement parts and a gasket set and put motor back together. After painting the frame and tank I started cleaning and putting everything back together. The bike is far from being complete but dont look bad for being my first project like this.
