First post, been lurking for quite a while CB400F CB750 K1

I guess it is time to post an intro.  I have been riding Hondas off and on for pretty much my entire life.  Right now I have my late fathers CB400F and my 71 CB750 that I bought when I was a senior in high school back in 1980.  I have a few others that I may introduce at a later time.

The 400 had been sitting in the shed for nearly 20 years when I dragged it out a few years ago.  I have had to do the typical mechanical work for a bike that has been sitting for that long.

The 750 has been in the shed since 1989 and it is now time to bring it out for a restoration.

Welcome.   The paint color on the K1 looks to be Planet Blue, you paint it? (a K5 color)

I painted it many years ago.  I think it was left over paint from a car I had painted.  It will be going back to Candy Gold for the color.

Welcome, very nice 400 but the 750 looks a bit dirty ::)  Are you planning on leaving it as a retro 70s cruiser? ...Larry

Hey Larry,  the bike will be restored back to a stock rider restoration.  Plans are to make it as nice as I can within a very reasonable budget.  I'm hoping to stay under $2500.00 on it.  That includes a stock or repro exhaust system.  We will see.  Here is the thread I started on the 750:
