Topic: What do you guys think of these new gauge faces?

I'm not a fan of skulls.  But, I was thinking that the Redline area should be made into an arrowhead/broadhead, slightly sunk into the skull.

Or, the feathers of the arrow spread across the redzone of the numbers and the arrow shaft in the skull.

Could do the same on the speedo with the wedge starting at the ton, perhaps?

Have you made any gauge faces with the club logo on them?

Not to ruffle feathers, especially because this is like my 4th or 5th post, but I think flames and skulls are way overdone. Seems like everyone has them. The tribal thing is the latest to be overdone.

BUT, to each his own. If you dig 'em, that's all that really matters. And if you're thinking of selling them, you'll see there are alot more "yays" on this board than "nays". So my opinion is in the minority, and that's alright.

I agree with the comment about the redline being weird on the skull, but I still think is should be there. Could you move it behind the skull but in front of the flames?

I could... It would be easier for those with the lights just to cut out the bit for these after they install the face.

That's why we try to do something different all the time. Something different for everyone. After all if they all looked the same then we would be back to the same thing as stock faces.

Club logo??? I can make them with anything on them. We are in the process of getting a catalouge made just for each model that will offer hundreds of choices for each model.

People have over done flat black Cafe bikes too but everyone keeps doing them

I'll agree with you there! However, I think the difference there is that it's really easy to do flat black because you can get it cheap out of a rattle can, do it yourself, have semi-decent results and it hides uglies in the bodywork.

Make them in black and white, maybe with red numbers, and loose the flames (just keep the skull)

They are sweet though....

That would be cool for a later edition. I did these to match the one patch on my coat. And they match for the lost part. However various color schemes of these would be cool.

how about this cattaract stricken kitten?  hell of a lot spookier than some flaming skull.  classic imagery is cool in and of itself, but when its original intent was to shock, it is easily out done by a kitten.

like them but agree with the flames part and the red markings . would have gotten these as the bike will be going to flat black in the spring with maybe a skull on the tank sides .

Nope, no second on that thing. I saw that last night and had nightmares! I didn't like it then, and I sure don't want to see it everytime I look at my gauges!  I'd rather have just good ol' normal kittens.
