Terry, I didn't say that riding through Brisbane was tough, I said it was suicide ;D.  When was the last time you were up this way? In the last 5 years Brisbane has gone from bad to ridiculous.  Last time I was down Melbourne a couple of years ago, it wasn't that bad to get around, nowhere near as bad as Brisbane.

I was there in May last year Andrew, and it was a piece of cake compared to Melbourne. Next time you come to Melbourne, try driving/riding at peak hour on a week day. You'll lose your tan in about 30 seconds......... ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Last time I was in Melbourne I drove out of the place at 5pm midweek, I was only stuck in traffic for half an hour and covered 7km.  Time before last I was in Brisbane I drove out of there just before 5pm midweek I was stuck in traffic for an hour and a half and covered just under 15km before I was out of it.  Both times I was driving from the CBD out of the hell holes.  But in comparison Aussie cities have nothing on the Poms.  You should try Birmingham or Manchester if you want scary traffic :o, I didn't drive in London, you couldn't pay me enough for that.

Yep, you were obviously lucky when you drove in Melbourne last, if I have to commute into the city (22 Km) I give myself 2 hours and sometimes I'm still late.

It'll be better once they build the "East West Link", that will stop a lot of "thru-traffic" clogging the city, as there is no ringroad for East/West traffic.

I remember London traffic of almost 40 years ago, and it was a nightmare then. But then again, they've got such a good public transport system compared to melbourne, I don't know why they'd want to drive anyway. ;D

Yeah, I'm hoping that the suction cup will stick to the inside of the windscreen on the 'Wang, and hopefully with the still air behind it, there shouldn't be too much wind noise? Cheers, Terry. ;D
