Nope, still not working for me mate, I've clicked all over that pic and nada......... ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Way I read it Terry was Andrew's favorite Python had killed the cat by strangling it but had not eaten it yet. If a cat is too stupid to stay out of a python's grasp it is too domesticated and ignorant to know or not a survivor and it is a thinning the gene pool action. I like cats and hate snakes, but a snake is not a play toy for a cat and should be smart enough to know that.

The coyotes in southern AZ use the washes as their roads in the city. Lots of apartment complexes would build a small berm between the wash and the complex and where would owners of small dogs take their pets when waliking them? Yeah you guessed it, these grassy berms. Sometimes for the coyotes it is dinner delivered on a string. They would lay in wait and in the evening or morning and then pop out and attack grabbing the small mutt and drag it back over into the wash for dinner. Most times the owner couldn't prevent the attack once initiated or resist strong enough to keep fido and would drop the leash or it would be pulled from their grasp.

Shows up as a video on top and still pic below it on my Nook tablet. Click on top pic and it plays, bottom does nothing.browser differences...

Try this link Terry, see if it works for you.

RAF, the cat used to sleep in a small tree in the backyard, when it wasn't sleeping in my boat or on the bonnet of my #$%*ing car, the snake came along and saw an easy meal.  I caught it when it was just about to swallow the cat, grabbed it at the back of the head, then had to pry it off the cat, then off my arm.  My fingers were starting to go purple when I finally got him released.  He was a little over 10ft long and bloody fat and heavy, there had been a few cats go missing in the neighbourhood ;D.  I let him go in the backyard to the horror of my ex, she didn't like snakes, where as I see carpets as good to have around, they keep the vermin down, also if you have carpet snakes you usually don't have trouble with browns ;D.

Thanks Guys, I just watched it after I watched Dave's HQ wheezing past a good samaritan in a Chrysler 300 who obviously felt sorry for the old bloke in the old blue taxi and let him pass......

My mate Davey lives in Cairns, he's got every bike he ever owned (he never sells one to buy another) and it's quite a collection, but he'd never have to worry about thieves, his place is crawling (slithering) with bloody snakes.

None of them are pets, they just like Dave's place, and he's got them coming in through the windows, through the roof, you name it, it's fcuking scary, they're mostly pythons, but he's had a couple of venomous buggers too. I'm not a fan of snakes, so I only see Dave when he comes to visit me......... ;D

Andrew, what are browns? Venomous I presume...
Never been a fan of snakes, especially after having been lucky enough to be struck at but not bitten by a few copperheads and a water moccasin (poisonous vipers) growing up.
My opinion is the only good snake is a dead one...when talking about poisonous variety. Not real thrilled by the non-poisonous variety either. Especially the constrictors...

Blue, you should see the size of the carpet snakes near Agnes Water, where my property is, its not uncommon to see one with its head on one side of the road and its tail in the grass on the other side, I moved one off the road that was as thick as my thigh and around 8 meters long... :(  My neighbor thought i was moving a large branch off the road until he saw it move, he reversed out of sight without saying a word, It goes without saying, Ron dislikes snakes... ;D  True story...  On another note, Red belly black snakes are great to have around, although they are venomous, they are slow moving and carnivorous, they go into Taipan and brown snake nests eat the young, if you have black snakes on your property then usually you don't have browns and Taipans....

David, our King browns and inland Taipans are 2 of the most venomous snakes in the world, the Inland Taipan {fierce snake}  has the most toxic venom of any land snake in the world. The maximum amount of venom recorded for one bite is 110mg, enough to kill about 100 humans, or 250,000 mice , it is 10 times as venomous as the Mojave Rattlesnake, and 50 times more than the common Cobra. We also have the Belcher’s Sea Snake-The most venomous snake  in the world, a few milligrams is strong enough to kill 1000 people!   ;D ;D :o

Mick, I remember one years ago, when I was younger my old man used to drive a cane truck.  I joined him one weekend in the cab, we were about 30 k's out of town when we rounded a bend and there was a snake stretched across the road.  You couldn't see either end of him.  We couldn't stop and all 6 axels bounced over him, and I do mean bounced, all 45 ton.  We pulled up down the road a little and walked back to see if he was still there.  He was gone and there was a trail of flattened grass heading off into the scrub, so we figured it would be best to not go looking for something that could shrug that off ;D.

David, the browns are considered the deadliest snakes in Australia.  They aren't the most venomous as Mick pointed out, but unlike the fierce snake which lives in the middle of nowhere, the browns live where people live and they are as aggressive as hell.

We've got heaps of Tiger Snakes down here in Victoria, they're probably the most aggressive snake I've ever seen, my mates father was killed by one back in the early 1970's, the poofters will chase you, unlike most other snakes.

Back in the 1990's, I was sitting on the crapper reading a bike mag about 9pm, when the wife disturbed me to tell me that my neighbours from across the road wanted to borrow my shovel to dispatch a Tiger.

No worries, I put my shorts on and walk into the middle of the road and ask them where the snake is? They reply, "right beside you"! The fcuker was heading straight over to me! I gave it a smack with the shovel and it just about leapt at me through the air, so I clobbered it again, it was about 6 feet long and really pissed off. I swung, it struck at me, and so on until I managed to knock it out and chop it's head off.

By this stage I was knackered, but when I looked around I saw that half of my neighbours had come out to watch this mighty battle, and I got a standing ovation, and a beer from my next door neighbour. I then had to pick up the Tiger's battered remains and deposit them in the wheely bin before my dopey dog ate one of the poisony bits. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

The Mohave Rattlesnake, aka Mohave Green, Mohave Viper, is an aggressive snake that will attack when disturbed like your Tiger. It's our only neurotoxin Rattlesnake and its venom takes about 10-12 hours to kill you by shutting down your respiration or heart with the paralysis. You have to treat long before showing any symptoms or you are already dead. Takes about 4 vials of antivenom for typical bites at about $2500/vial. They get about 6-8 feet long and look a lot like the Western Diamondback. The Western Diamondback injects a lot of venom when it bites and it being a hemoragic venom makes you swell and have tissue death, etc. These two rattlesnakes kill the most people in the US. Most snake bites with treatment are surviveable other than these two. These two are a toss up with treatment being your only hope. Eastern Diamondback bites are rarely fatal.

Copperheads are very common here and are small and easily angered but they won't bring the fight to you like the Mohave. The Mohave will attack if cornered or if angered.  Plus only kids die of copperhead bites, generally adults just get sick from the bite.

Terry, sounds like you Aussies like your Alligator Hunters and snake killers...and watching them.

The Pythons and Anacondas are now taking over the Everglades as STUPID people released their pets and they are taking over as they have no enemies here. They are having snake hunts it is so bad. They eat alligators and crocs and even deer.  My sister had a big doe in her yard two nights ago...too bad it wasn't in season.

In Wales they use sheep for that sort of thing.   ;D
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

When I was in my early teens we went to my uncle Kermit's family homeplace in the mountains north of Lebanon, Virginia to go pick blackberries as they had a patch over an acre in size. Coming out of the patch we encountered a 12-14 foot long black snake going across a car sized boulder near where the vehicles were parked. Its body about as big as a 175 pound man's leg. We threw a large smooth stone at it and it bounced off and seemed unfazed.

Seen rattlesnakes that were as big as your biceps get run over by a car and it didn't even slow them down crossing the road while other times you see their carcass on the road until birds or snake skin collectors retrieve them.

The normal Taipan {not the inland taipan} are extremely aggressive and will chase you, a shovel is no good to dispatch these bloody things either as they can strike you from eight feet more than once in under a second, i've seen them up too ten feet long ... It is the third most venomous snake in the world....  We have some beauties.... :o

Sounds like you fellows need a good shotgun, that way you don't need to get as close to dispatch it.  Not much exceeds it's close quarters protection if you can bring it to bear on the target.
