Damn nice work.  I'm pulling the motor on my 1980 cb650.  Did you paint your engine (the jugs obviously) or polish the aluminum?  Looks great

Painted with duplicolor ceramic hi temp. Then polished the fins.

Tracked down the blown main fuse issue. The 40 year old indicator light insulation was cracked and shorting out. Cleaned that up and all seems good.
I have to mount the exhaust and should be able to fire the motor.

I was able to fire the bike today, she started almost immediately, blew a little smoke then ran clean, I had a little coughing out the carbs until it warmed up but ran pretty smooth after that. Did a couple of cycles on the lift only as I was using a gas bottle. No leaks evident at this point.
Cant wait to get her out on the road! Just need final paint. I mounted an oil cooler but don't have it hooked up yet so just using stock filter setup. At the very least I will run a spin on filter.
