CB750 Battery Tray "Rubber" parts
« on: January 12, 2013, 12:37:54 PM »
I recently had my battery tray sandblasted and powder-coated.

I know of one area that I will need to dip in rubber (I'm hoping lowes will have this stuff). Does anyone know what it's called?

Anyways, The guy that did the powder-coating "thought" that there was another area, but I don't think there was one. Can I get a confirmation? I circled the area that I know was rubberized before.

It's called Plasti Dip. http://www.plastidip.com/

Lowes or most hardware stores should he it.

I have something like that in a painted speedo holder from my modern Suzuki GZ250 that I took to the chrome shop -ruberized part I mean-

It was a bracket to hold the speedo lights cables, so I guessed the rubber was there to avoid the cables being damaged with the vibration.

I just shrouded the bracket with heat shrinking tube and shot the heat gun. Didn't care much about originality in a place hardly seen.

Just my .02

And this is why you guys rock so much. Got some plasti-dip at Harbor Freight today (great way to use up my gift card).

Thanks a ton for that!  Breaking back out plasti-dip for some more action.
