Yeah, own up. I'll give you $50 profit AND pay shipping.........

Isn't it funny, this discussion about RC stroker rods and nobody brought up the NOS rods on EBay?! Everyone laying low. It's very unfortunate I slept in today! Dammit! I was planning on spending $1K with Big Jay for a crank for my 1000 engine.  :'(  Sure wish EBay didn't hide the bidders now.

Yeah, I'm sure plenty of potential bidders were put off by their length.  Had they been stock length NOS RC rods, I think the bidding would have been twice that at least.  Had to watch a NOS set of 550 Superods go by last week for $400 :'(

I found them and had been watching, but I have a 6mm stroker crank
and figured I'll just wait til I find the right rods.

Everything we do to make these motors faster is some sort of a compromise. Put a big stroker in it with short rods and you get a bad rod angle. However, it makes more power than if you didn't. So it is a net gain.

My favorite illustration is the supercharger on a modern TF car. Bernsteins blower dyno showen that it took 3000 HP to turn it 11,000 RPM. But it made 6000. So there was a net gain of 3000.

We have done a few strokers in the last couple of years. With stock rods. When you do that with a spaqcer, you can run out of cam chain. There is no 96 link chain.  One would have to resort to using a rivet link chain. Huge gamble on a high dollar motor.
