Laser? Water jet? I WISH! I drilled 1/4 holes all around the perimeter then connected them with the Dremel. Final cleanup and shaping was done by hand with a file. The vent cover was .014 aluminum sheet. I cut it with a pair of scissors. Drilled and tap the hole 8/32 for the Allen head bolts.

project looks great did you paint or powder your frame? i did a silver too but was not happy with the our come and and thinking im going to powder it now. keep up ithe great work it looks so clean even without the tins on it

Thanks. The frame is painted. Single stage urethane with an HPLV gun. If you're gonna build multiple machines its actually cheaper. I've painted two complete sets of tins and this frame; I still haven't finished the quart container.

I wish I had $400. I would have just bought a fiberglass tank. I love the look of knee indents but this filling and sanding is getting old.

Seat Pan Wrapping 101.

Materials needed:
Seat pan
Camping foam pad
Vinyl, leather, ostrich, etc.
Contact cement (trust me, old school is better)
Clips

1. Glue two layers of foam to the pan one layer at a time. Egg rate side facing each other.
2. Use 100 grit sand paper to shape the countour. Take your time and don't press hard, let the sandpaper do the work, that's what you bought it for.
3. Have a beer. It makes th process of making a seat cushion more manly.

Yep, i have the MTC 67mm 900 set, but 888 it is and its going in my 736......

People always ask which bike is my favorite. My reply is always the same; "The next one."

The bad part about opening up a motor and finding Henry Abe pistons is locating a set of rings for them. Where do you find a set of rings? You don't. I shipped the pistons to Top Seal and had them make me a set. It was $175; not much more than a set of NOS Honda rings, but you'll have to use a ring file to set the ring gap. I'm only 125 lbs. The motor has so much compression I can't kick it over LOL.

Too bad you had to go to that trouble. I posted up the Total Seal part numbers for these rings a long time ago

Did you ditch the electric starter? I installed a AGM battery and it turns mine easily.
