something strange,
« on: January 13, 2013, 04:38:46 PM »
I was sitting in the, er, library reading with the door closed and heard a crash in the bedroom. I swung the door open and the floor register wasn't in the hole. The register was found on the bed and there is a ding in the headboard. Wife was in the kitchen, she came in ans asked me what happened. We have a large dog, I assumed his collar might have gotten caught or something but he was asleep on the couch and when I called him in to the register he just sniffed it, didn't appear afraid of it or anything. HMMMM,

I know what it was.  There was some excess "library" gas that found it's way into the ventilation system, and when the heat came on, it ignited and blew off the register.

You have to lay off those onions.

That's two votes for duct gas. Checked the dogs nails thinking one might have gotten stuck and caused a panic, no grooves or marks. If I was a believer, it would be easy to blame spooks.
And yes I thought about if I was sleeping at the time, might have caught one of us in the face.
