Decals ? from a Newbie
« on: July 14, 2006, 07:08:02 PM »
Yea, I'm a newbie to the forum. Haven't had a 750 for 17 years but just picked up a 77 750F.
Wish I still had the 71 cause their worth big bucks now:) I'm in Virginia and live in the mountains.
Own Fiats too! Autocross a 80 Fiat Spider and regularly beat miatas with it. Makes my day.

Anyhow are there repo decal sets out there for the 77 F?

I plan to repaint and reckon I'll stick with Honda colors.

I promise to stay out of political discussions.

Robert

Welcome! 750Fs RULE!  ;D What part of VA? I have family in Winchester and Richmond.

There was some discussion recently about the availability of decals. Something about Honda telling people to stop selling aftermarket sets. I'm sure they're still available, just gotta know where to look. Do a search on this site and you'll find all sorts of info.

Always liked those little Fiats... Someday I'll get a little sporty ragtop to go with my bike!  :D

So what?! The only thing a Miata could beat is a stock '54 Chevy.   I know because I own one.

Check here. You'll have to ask because they were forced to take it off the web site, but they had them for most older Honda's including the 77 F     http://www.afegraphics.com/reproset.htm

Hey, Unc.  Which do you own? ;D ;D ;D

That's what I was wondering. I had a buddy in high school with a 54' Chevy that was a pretty good runner. 261ci 6cyl w/milled head isky cam (don't remember specs), Mallory Dual-point dist & molded coil, intake cleaned up and modified to accept a 2barrel Rodchester, electric fuel pump, aftermarket headers for a 53'-54' Corvette, dual glasspacks and scavenger pipes, truck 11" clutch, 3sp witn Fenton shifter. He painted it  Dodge Royal Blue, added a tubular grille and a small cast plate on the front bumper that read "Powered By GMC" and that baby would run! The race I really remember was a 65' Mustang convert w/289 4sp. and it got creamed!!  Later on, Bill

There was an earlier thread about the reproduction decals and difficulties in getting them. See this thread and a possible contact for getting some.

I'm having some decals made for a different bike. Most of the cost will be for the guys computer time, but who cares if it's for a motorcycle.

I had a STOCK Chebby.  Picked a friend up from the airport when it started raining.  I guess you learn to look between the drops, but boy was he pissed! Scared the whoee out of him  ;D :-*. Weenie boy-  I got a cheap cream-yellow paint job on it and people started coming up next to me and gunning their engines. So, I'd gun mine and wave when the light turned green.
My Miata is the first-year 1.8. Black with a red hard top. No frills except for air and a radio that I never listen to. I use it to bring lunch to work when it's raining or snowing, or to take my air tank to get re-filled.  Kind of sorry I got rid of my old tricked out Volvo staionwagon. Beans, I'm sorry I got rid of almost everything.  This is the first normal car I've had, but I'm going to put a stop to that as soon as MC projects get finished.  I'm going to creat my first art car!  I still remember a Carman Ghia in SF tht had Caddy fins grafted on, was a little slammed, and had fake zebra skin interior. Deep black paint.  #$%*IN!!!  So... I have some ideas. I see where you can get stick-on Buick portholes- I'm there!  Some other ideas, but I need to spend some time in the basement.  >hehehehehehehe<

Do I sense a need for some kind of medication for our Uncle Ernie?

Hey, when I was a senior in high school, I used to get a kick out of tooling around in my
Dad's old 50's Morris Minor Wagon (woodie actually). It was a pretty tough little car actually.
The battery was about the same size as the motor!    Ahhhh, the good old days.
Hey Uncle, what ever meds you might need, maybe I need some too HaHaHa!

Sold my Traveler last year. New 1275 engine, all new floor and wood, front disk conversion, new interior, decent tires, blah blah blah.  Ran great until your hit a puddle and the points got wet.     My second woody (well third, if you count the one I sold for the price of the tires).
The Volvo was a '66 122S station wagon, sanitsed with black rubber side trim replacing the stock aluminium, Dodge truck grey that got a lavender tint during sunset, small ghost flames behind the front wheels, full Moons, burgundy interior, new engine.
Then there's the '51 Dodge I bought because the guy opened the trunk and walnuts came pouring out. I said, "I'll take it!" and handed him the cash.

Yeah... meds.

Hey Uncle, I saw my Dad this weekend for his 81st birthday and he told me a story
about an Indian Four that I'm gonna have to pass on later today. So be watching this afternoon
sometime. I believe you'll enjoy it.

Wow jman- I thought MY life was tough...
On the other hand, look at the bright side; if that car had any guts, the tranny would have gone out a LONG time ago.
