Title says it all, Frank F. Sidney's Western Bandit Volunteers opening for David Allen Coe,  thursday night in Joliet Illinois. Should be interesting.
Mojoes on Cass st. for anyone nearby. They're now the #35 bluegrass band on Reverb Nation.

People tell me DAC is getting and hardly   plays anymore.  But he does hang out at the local casino once in a while.   I think he lives somewhere around Oklahoma is what the blackjack dealer tells me.

I guess he must do a gig once in a while.

I saw him play once. I think it was one of those things where they were passing through town and stopped to play a show. (We get a lot of big names that do that) I'd always wanted to see him live, and I enjoyed it, but it seemed like he rushed the show.
No matter how fast or how far I rode, I couldn't leave her memory behind.

They were a little hesitant but decided to go for it.

It went well, the kids music was well recieved and Coe was everything we expected.
I think the 7 of them made 14.25 each, it's called paying your dues I guess.

It's worth it for the experience!

I play fiddle and mandolin in a bluegrass band on the side. It's more about having fun than making money :-D

The cops came by early and warned the venue about who the crowd would be, Coe said he founded the Outlaws motorcycle club and they were his special guests. I have to say everyone was very well behaved. I seemed to keep running into this HUGE guy wearing his colors. He was very polite as was I. He always walked around me or moved so I could get past and spoke. One goofball went behind the rail near the stage twice, he got us the lecture. When he was done, DAC was assisted off the stage, I imagine the road is a hard life and he's 74. I didn't realize how many people he has written songs for.

True, they were glad they did it, My daughter sings and plays fiddle, her boyfriend sings and plays guitar and my oldest daughters boyfriend plays bass and sings. They did all their own music except one cover my daughter sang.
