My first bike.  '78 CB550.  Working on changing the handlebars, front forks and seat.  Going for a slight cafe/brat style on everything.  Working on actual tune-up stuff first.

She handles beautifully.

I love her.

Turns out bikes don't come with babes.  Apparently I was misinformed.

Good morning to all 77-78 owners. Please help a fellow red headed stepchild.
First off my bike is a 78 750K I could really use some help.
I'm trying to get my bike back to stock the PO put taller bars on it 10" ape hangers. I have found some good quality sets at Flanders but I don't know what the measurements should be. If anyone with a 77-78 750K could take the time to measure the width at the clamps and the rise or height and pullback I would be grateful. Well actually I can take care of the width at the clamps so I just need how tall height and how much pull back. Once I get this I can get new cables and go for a ride. I have tried to search and looked at the manual but no luck.
On this page they show where to take the measurements
 Thanks very much in advance.

I have several but for different bikes. Seems every time you buy a bike the bars are bent or wrong. Case in point..need CB160 bars.

These are the stock bar measurements.

In this picture are 77/78 K bars on top and I believe F bars on the bottom. I'm running the F bars and love them. You will probably have to change the MC brake hose to a shorter length. I believe it was 8 inches or so. There is a thread by me in the "wanted section".

And on my 77K.

Hope this helps.

The F bars do look good, Toy.  Prefer stock on my K8 though.  Need to pull it out of storage, haven't ridden it in a while but did start it up about a month ago.

Yeah, about 3 weeks for me. I have 110 octane Sunoco racing fuel in it. In all of them actually. Probably blow the head off the Dream huh?  :o

Did ride the sixer yesterday.  ;)

Just got back today from about a 100 mile ride in the country. First ride in two months. New every thing on the rear end. Can't get over how much better a new tire, chain & sprockets, cush drive, bearing, brakes swing arm bushings and so on feel. You don't notice how bad things are till you change them all at once. ;D ;D

What kind of seat and fly screen is that? I love the way it looks!
