I thought I had posted in this thread before, oops!  :o
Here's my 1978 CB750F3 in camping mode 2 years ago.

It got a top-end engine rebuild and new piston rings last year.

mkoski,

Nice.
But the seat looks like it might be a little uncomfortable.  :)) :))

I have been struggling to figure out the best way to make a nice seat up. I have done three (!) separate fiberglass seats and disliked them all.

I think I am going to turn to a friend of mine who is an unbelievable wood-worker and make something solid like that. Then I'll add a custom seat-pad.

But yes, that crappy plywood seat is terribly uncomfortable!

Thanks!  Check out the build thread below if you like :) .  Lots don't like the Comstars (and I'm definitely not a fan of the 'reverse' ones in the '80's), but I feel these were brilliant and scream '70's.  Benefits of cast without casting issues of the day.  Don't get me wrong, I like a mean set of spokes too, but I think '70's awesome when I look at my bike.

Kawi,

I can't remember if yours is a work in progress.  Are you having any clearance issues with the rear fender, when the rear shocks are compressed?
