FARK! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)

I've done it twice on a smaller scale, bumpy hillside rather than snow covered mountain. Even that was like crashing a padded car, quite an experience but not pleasant and leaves you at best quite bruised.
My advice is if you're going to do it either go feet first (setting off with your back to the slope) so your head doesn't get snapped forward so violently over bumps or do the water filled version where you aren't harnessed to he side. Oh and pick a smaller hill !

No thanks!  Those spotters down at the bottom were worthless.

At first I thought it was one of those exaggerated videos, like the one where the guy flys through the air off a giant water slide and lands in a kiddie pool, but a quick google search shows this happened on Jan 3rd and one man died.

As kids when we got bored with our sleds we used to roll down the hill in a 55 gallon steel barrel. We called it the Hintchenmobile...named after my childhood friend Mark Hintchen. ;D

That whole fatal incident could have been avoided, the location was hazardous, the track wasn't prepared enough for a safe run, just stupid, what a waste. I say send the spotters down next.
A few Honda 500's, a few Honda 550's, a few Honda 650's, '72 cb 450, a couple 500/550/650 hybrids, and 2001 750.

Huh, sounds like it happened in Russia, not surprising.

Everyone involved was at fault, not just the spotters.  You've got one man trying to stop 450 pounds of rolling mass with nothing but snow for traction.  The whole thing was a recipe for disaster, and anyone who helped make it happen, including the men who were in it, are at fault, IMO.
