Lower fork lock retaining screw size
« on: January 17, 2013, 03:23:55 PM »
Just got my frame and other parts back from powder coating.  They got some powder coating on the threads
of the hole for the screw that holds the cover on the fork lock.  Now that little tiny screw wont screw in, so I
will need to get a tap to repair the threads.  Anyone know what size tap I need?  The screw is number 22 in the
attached fiche image. I need to tap the hole out for screw 22.   The screw is listed in the parts as 3-8.  I would
think it is metric, but what is the tap size?
