Anybody use cylinder boring services from Ebay?
« on: January 19, 2013, 05:54:43 PM »
If you surf around on Ebay you can find people advertising for cylinder boring services. Some of the prices I have found are pretty reasonable. It seems to be cheaper for me to ship my cylinders out then use someone local. Has anybody ever used any of these services?

Anybody on the forum bore cylinders?

Big Jay at APE would, there has to be others. Just be careful sending your stuff out to people you don't know, sometimes cheap isn't always better, remember, you pay peanuts you usually get monkeys... ;D

I gave up trying to find those 'guys that know what they are doing' and sent my stuff to our guys that have been doing this since 1969. Much less frustrating, much quicker, and it gets done quickly and correctly. May cost more than the bargain guys but it ain't all jacked up. I could not find ANY local guys other than powder coaters. Who else would we need beside Big Jay and MRieck!! The locals are just yo yo's!
