Topic: Any idea on what attaches to this frame bracket..76 550 K?

Can anyone tell me what attaches to the frame bracket (pic below) located on the left front frame down tube, just below the (left side) coil mount ? The frame is a 1976 CB550 K...thanks

on my 75 I think it was for the ignition switch or the horn....going from memory from when I tore it all down a few weeks back.

The horn bracket on this bike is on the right front.  The few photos I've been able to find through the shop manual show the ignition mounted in a bracket that goes around the frame tube in a position just below this bracket.  I've checked the different wiring diagrams in the shop manual to see if there is somthing mounted here that has to "plug in" and I can't see anything.  Maybe the ignition does some how bolt to this, but I don't have the original igition switch and bracket to check.

Awesome!  Thanks for the visual ID.  I'm also doing a stripped down build and cutting all un-necassary metal off the frame.  I didn't get an ignition with the bike but have already fab'd a new bracket behind the idiot lights and between the guages for the ignition.  Again, thanks for the taking the time to post the pics.
