I have the ignition lock from 78F. There is some number on the cylinder cover - can I find a key based on this number?

That would be the number to use. HOPEFULLY you could find a key. Post it up, maybe someone will have a spare.

is the number. My options are open, I can get switch for the frame since it is K3 but the fork and the top bracket is F and the lock fits there like a glove.

Is this a stock ignition lock? The number looks odd, but I'm not an expert. Have you tried www.hondakeys.com ?

Probably easiest to just replace the tumbler. Would it be metric or SAE?
