It's a good day for a warm Dickens Cider http://www.catsprn.com/dickens_cider.htm

We are having our first winter weather.  There is a nice 2 inch sheet of ice all over the roads and driveways.

Was hoping to peck around in the garage on this very sunny Sunday but, it's still 12 degrees. It's been a brutal week .Weatherman claims that there will be some relief mid week, even mid 20's sounds like an improvement at this point.

Same here.  Ice, snow, then more ice.  Then it's supposed to be near 50 this afternoon.

OK went to the warm in Mexico for a week missed some squalls here coming back and of course now the weather Guru's claim significant snowfall this weekend, I wonder if I pissed the snow god off again.
Not sure about Mexico. Stayed at a reasonably high end place and it was weird, yes warm but humid and coming from cold and dry, 50c difference in temp quite a shock to my old and ugly frame, the staff were mostly nice, but I'm not sure that I'm able to cope with people doing things for me ( not my socialist leanings but more it seems to take away my Independence ) and all the people doing things for me are of a underclass, Mayan versus Spanish bosses, it'll take me a while to intergrate the experience, as far as the temp it was sort of nice to be warm but wasn't nice to sweat all the time including at night in bed. Definitely
figured out that Corona wasn't my favourite suds but the two horsies were closer.

Here in the North east, The weather channel and local news are attempting to scare the crap out of us  again. 2 feet  of snow or worse , frigid temps, blizzard conditions...... What? Did this never happen before?
This  only happens in the winter and it is still winter. Try to stay off the roads till Saturday night , collect water,  have flashlights  and alternative heat source ready.
Sounds like Boston is  going to have 30", 60 mph wind,  historic....good luck guys.

Right! I am with you.  The weather is like that, there is no need for "storm of the century" and similar dramatics on news.

Yeah, we have a guy too. >:( ME. I just got back in from blowing the first 4 inches off the driveway. There is more coming.  Maybe I will go live in the Florida Keys and become a half ass.

Three hundred foot driveway?!?! What, do you live on an estate or something?  Let me guess, the driveway runs right through your golf course.  ;D

If it snowed here, and it does about every five years, I would not attempt to go down my driveway. Too steep.

No Bob just 4 1/2 acres and the house is off the road by a bit if I could have figured out the plowing thing   in the winter I would have built it al the way to the back ( I'm an anti social old creature ) it would have cut down on the road noise and let me pretend that humanity doesn't exist the other thing is I have a helluva time trying to semi maintain 4.5 acres, a golf course or quote an estate, Jesus H you'd spend all your time trying to keep it up.

Got lucky, only a foot of powder, easy shoveling, even easier when my good neighbor came over with his snowblower while I was driving my wife to work ( she dosen't like to drive sideways, I drive off in the snow just so's I can).
Upkeep on any property is a drag, when I think of how much $ has gone into mowers, snowblowers, time, and gasoline to remove things that either come back or grow back next week......could have had another garage, got a divorce, and remarried. Dammit, I could have been on a honeymoon cruise right now!
