All new seals. Now where do they all go?
« on: January 20, 2013, 12:38:22 PM »
I got an engine seal kit from Cycle X. I know where some of them go what about the others. Am i missing something or are they not used at all. The bike is a Honda Cb750F 78'

(Two of the seals are for kick start, and gear change)
1.
2.
3.
4.
5. Final drive seal for this bike. I know that one fits.
6. Older Final drive seal?
7. Points seal
8.

Current ride: 78' Cb750F

The size should be marked on each seal. You can cross ref the sizes with this excellent parts fiche.

The little guy #8 for the tach drive, 4.8x14.5?

Yes the smaller final drive seal is for the older motors.  Number 4 I believe is for the starter clutch gear behind the alt rotor.  One of them will be for the clutch shaft in the clutch cover.

The 750 doesn't have that solid (no hole in the center) seal that goes behind the chain?
