This thread shouldn't be negative at all.  I was proud of the little b!atch ;) ;D  had a ton of fun with it over the 3 years/5000mi I had it.

The CB 350 F is a very sweet bike. Goodlooking, easy handling and the real fun starts when you give it rpm's of 4-5000 and up. They are build to run on high rpm's and can really give you a lot of fun on the winding roads, or just down the road for a coke or an ice cream. I love mine and it will stay in my collection.
Yes, it was Soichiro Honda's favourite bike. Maybe because he was not that tall ;) I am 183 cm and no problem riding it.

Next level up is my CB 550 K0 which is a great bike, too. Recommended, indeed. I use that one a lot, as it handles so well and better balance than my CB 750 K4, which is my touring bike and have the better sitting position.

I love my 350f and it's probably the one bike I won't get rid of. So much fun around town and comments everywhere it goes. The feeling I get ridding it has not been duplicated on any other bike I've ridden.

I had always thought a 350 four would be cool but more negative feedback on this thread than I expected.  I do know that my first bike, a yamaha xs 400, did not seem to have ANY sweet spot - at no rpm did that thing feel lively lol.  Might as well have had a briggs and stratton.

The 350F definitely has a sweet spot...between about 6500 and 9500 RPM! ;) Little sucker pulls hard and sounds incredible in that RPM range. But that's what people are telling you, that the 350F needs to be revved to get the power, the twin pulls much harder at low RPMs. I don't think anyone's saying it's a bad bike, you just need to understand the difference and be OK with that. I still prefer my Four...it's a very cool little bike.

The 350f is no power house, but you won't really care once you start riding it. It handles great, has plenty of power once you learn the engine and mine has successfully taken me on many 12 hour days including an 800 mile trip with luggage and my ex on the back. Porting the head makes an incredible difference too. Speaking of which... I have a spare ported head in case anyone is interested.

I usually ride my Triumph Sprint 1050 these days, but have no reservations hopping on the highway in San Francisco and riding over 7000 foot peaks to get to lake Tahoe. My 350f has plenty of power to do that. Heck, with a ported head it will do that with a passenger. Did I mention that I have a spare ported head for sale?  ;)

All that being said. The bike you linked to is pretty rough.

period tests show 36hp (claimed) for the twin and 34hp (claimed) for the 350f.  much ado about nothin?

spare, ported head?  speak to me.  what was reconditioned (valves, seats, guides) and were the ports smoothed up and flowed too?  very curious about this "porting" stuff.  and i may have a few pesos laying about.   ;)

Well the one I linked to on Ebay sold for $520, more than I was wanting to pay.

I have other bikes, I was thinking of this one for the occasional jaunt around town or to work and back, which is ten miles on back roads. Maybe I'll find one closer.

I've got a Harley for the highway trips.
No matter how fast or how far I rode, I couldn't leave her memory behind.

For what's it's worth MJL, after seeing all the CB350F's that took part in Godzilla 2.0, I'd consider one.  They seemed to hold up to highway speeds just fine.  There was someone on this forum that "rescued" a ditched CB350, and after some TLC & mac pipe came out with a neat looking ride.
