+1 no pics, never happen.

Better yet, video clip so we all can see/hear it runs.

The ONE that's on the left side is new but I haven't found a new one for the right and I hate to put a used one on there but I may have to!! I have contacted Marbles Motors, who does bike paint, and asked about the repros he is advertising. ~ $46 each. Hoping!!

Come on over anytime. You didn't get to see it before did you? I need a riding companion for some shakedown riding just in case. I've gone around the block about 3 times too many and it will be time to put a few road miles on.

Doing a little 'test riding' close to home this afternoon. It's tried to stall a couple times but no problem. I pulled into the driveway to adjust the bars and mirrors and smoke was coming from behind the engine!?? Oh #$%*!! WTF? I did not deal with the top vent on the accumulator that normally vents to the airbox. Gotta figure that one out.   ;D

Suggestions welcomed??

Gonna go do some more miles. Later.

Put one of those little K&N style filters on it?

Haven't gotten back to it. I have the next 2 weeks to play if the weather cooperates. No smoke out the exhaust though, just that once from the top of that PVC cannister. I need to plumb in a filter like Don is referring to. I'm wanting to leave the cannister on it and find a good mounting location for a filter. I've seen pics of a side mount filter. Any leads to a link? Or a picture?

Congratulations on the bike Jerry.  With all the effort into sourcing all those NOS parts are you sure you should be riding it?  You don't wanna make it a collection of very nice used parts.  ;D ;)

Steve, guess I could always put the spare F engine in it and save the good $7K engine... Not! I am really anticipating twisting the throttle and holding on. For it's brief 15 miles I can tell it is smooth as silk and as quick as a cheetah.

I'll get it broken in and sync'ed etc when the winter weather breaks. Too much pea gravel etc on the roads to get too far away from home. They use that for the snow and it's like b-b's. I do not have insurance yet either. Gotta try to figure out how and how much insurance will cost for a $15,000 38 year old bike.

It won't get lots of miles though as that's what the Harley is for plus I'll put it's evil twin together for more miles.

Awesome Jerry, finally, good for you!!!

I went to a VJMC event here in Phx yesterday and a guy drove in his K4, he caught me staring at it for several minutes and I told him I,m running into my 3rd year of getting my F1 off the ground.  I loved to hear him start it up, just hoping to hear that sound out of mine this year.

As I read through your thread I was thinking I needed to ask you the budget but was not sure how to ask and finally you did in the last post.

Let me know how it works out with the postpartum blues!!!
