I'm dropping my 76 CB550K off to have cylinders bored 3 over, I have the Cruzin 600cc piston kit, and need to confirm clearances.  Are they the same for the 550 as recommended for 750 overbore? http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=68776.msg780524#msg780524

cast pistons will be ok at the factory clearances,a good shop will finish each bore to a piston and letter or number it for you.

Machine shop thinks .001 is tight wants to go .0015 to .002.  The CruzanImage pistons are cast not forged.  I don't want oil leaks but don't want to have to re-rebore if things are too tight.  Can anybody in the know allay my concerns????

If You can't fix it with a hammer, You've got an electrical problem.

Meant no disrespect to Dave500 RetroRocket, this post is a bit old and just updated today because of further concerns by the machinist, was looking for confirmation.  I had told the shop the original specs and what I had found here, I've opted for .0015 clearance and this is still within factory spec. This is my first engine rebuild/overbore so I don't want to fukk anything up because I was ignorant and afraid to ask questions.
