Topic: cb750 petrol tap petcock

Hi folks...i am repainting this tank which i think is from a k6 with the right hand screw thread tap fitting and i need a petrol tap...my local dealer has one in At £70 uk sterling delivered which is bloody expensive for a petol tap, do any after market ones fit....the tanks is being sprayed in candy gold and fitted to an k2.

Tank looks like a boss maroon color, makes it a 1974. These petcocks seems to be a bit more expensive than the older ones, but you can find them on eBay.com. Maybe this one?

Hi i think the k4 had the other type of petrol tap whilst the k5 and k6 had the screw type, i have messured the width of the hole and its 18mm....i think i need part number 16950-341-671

My Honda K6 parts book shows 16950-341-671 as the correct part number, which also fits the K5.

Personally I would go with the genuine Honda petcock, as it’s already been proven to give long term and reliable service:
