A CB750 K6 question and diagnosis
« on: January 26, 2013, 10:42:47 AM »
Ok, on a recent post I just discovered I have a 1976 k6 not A 1975 K5 as I was lead to believe.

Question:Can anyone tell what transmission work in a K6?  Im pretty sure I need to buy a tranny/ drum shift & fork on ebay

Diagnosis: I have been told I have either a drum shifter issue or worn dogs on one of the gears as it slips out of first under load.  It only slips out of first and I can hold it in for a very short bit if I hold down the shifter.

You can go to any Honda dealer site or Western Hills Honda and look at the parts fiche. This way you will have the correct part numbers.

But we were boys, and boys will be boys, and so they will. To us, everything was dangerous, but what of that? Had we not been made to live forever?
