Built in Britain 1953 an original Royal Enfield 500cc twin.
« on: January 30, 2013, 07:44:00 PM »

Bought an Royal Enfield 500cc twin built in 1953 from an old family member he's 75 yrs old.
It's a British built bike imported to Sweden by a dude in 1953. The bike is still in original shape.
With some wear and tear to the seat and grips. Just a little rust on the metal that one probably can polish away.
It has been stored in a garage without a start up for 4 yrs.
I was told it was in working order before he parked it. It has also been displayed on a mc-musem by the earlier owner.
I'm no mechanic but I think I can get it to run with some cleaning of carbs and fresh gasolin.
But I haven't decided if I will try do that or just sell it to some Royal Enfield enthusiast. Probably the latter.
Thanks for looking.
