It is for your flasher. If you don't have the original (says signal stat or something on it, rectangular box) two prong unit you can go get a cheapie round 554 or the like from any parts store. You can use heavier duty, its your choice. Mind as well go electronic. Additionally, as I'm sure the choices will lead to this, you can use a three prong flasher, just use the extra green ground on your harness that had you scratching your head. The third prong is a dedicated ground, that is all

Go to the manual FAQ and its a link from a link, but the full cb750 is useful, its like 800 pgs

Go on oldmanhonda.com, great resource

Search color wiring diagram on the left search bar, you will have good options

Thaks the green is the spare blinker and the red has always been a spare power wire not connected. With coils does it matter which is positive and which is negative?

no just hook it up either way, positioning is irrelevant. black is incoming hot and grey goes to the grey in bucket.

Red with White stripe goes between battery (+) and the rectifier (+), and to the fuseblock, then to the keyswitch. On some K4, the White stripe disappears from the Red/White wire after the fuse block.

Polarity is critical all thru the bike: reversing it will cook wires in several places, and will destroy the rectifier and the turn signal beeper.

OK, thats interesting..... Should the turn signal beeper always make a little bleep noise when the ignition is first turned on? Or is that a sign that polarity is wrong?

I mean the positioning on the flasher unit, they don't designate a position for the two prong so there are no polarity issues.
