thank you guys for the kind words! Im not going to lie, I was gettingbworried that the colors would clash in a bad way. Im very happy with the outcome.  It took me 3 months to get all the covers and a few other things back from the powder coater. So I was getting worried about my color choices.

Here is another pic with it in the frame.

 

It looks amazing with the blue tank! That will be for another day though.

Ok... I couldnt resist! I cant stop gloating over this thing. Im really pumped on how the bike looks as it sits now.

 





 

I go back to work tomorrow and wont have another day off for the next 8 days. Im hoping to get the forks and rims mounted on my next days off. So  stay tuned! 8)

Well, today was my first day off in 8 days/nights. I didnt get much done...
first I installed the new All Balls races and bearings. Pretty simple install.  I read through the forum and found a few "how to's". Read them over repeatedly and decided to go at it. The races went in pretty easy with a rubber mallet. The bottom steering bearing went better than I expected. Mounted the front forks, clip ons, speedo & tach.... All in all I guess it was a productive day. Here's some pics. Untill next time....








Ill get the rear wheel on tomorrow. And maybe start on the wiring. .. yay...

The tire looks pretty high up, are the shocks shorter than normal?

i habe lowering blocks on the rear. I just threw them on for now. Im going to have to adjust them still.

thank you for the kind words! I pondered on colors for a long time. I knew I wanted this color blue but didnt know how I wanted the engine. Glad I chose the colors that I did.

Make sure both you and your wife sit on the bike and have a bounce or two before you ride it. (Take that how you like)

I'd be cautious with the frame hoop\lower shock set up you have. Rear tire can rub the powder coat off the frame hoop faster than you'd imagine. Unfortunately I speak from person experience here :(

The shocks are pretty stiff. Like... stiff stiff. Im hoping they soften up with time. I was thinking the same thing about it hitting the frame hoop. Ill just have to see how it works out. I do plan on raising the rear up a little. The blocks are adjustable to 2 or 3".  I have it at 3" now.
im sure me and the wifey will get them tested out one way or another.  :)

Just a small update. Sorry no pics this time.
Ive been busy with work and other projects around the house. Haven't really had time to mess with the bike much. So far I got a new wire harness from vintagecb750.com. I have most of it wired up other than the handle bar controls. I still have to mount the license plate and all the lights plus make brackets for the rear blinkers.  I will post pics when I get it all done up. :)

The past few days ive been busy!
Finally have the wiring all sorted out. Made a few brackets for the tail lights and brake light.
little things here and there.

The blinker brackets are something I threw together in a few hrs. I dont like how they turned out.
 



first time in the sun since last December.




im having spark issues now. Im slowly double checking all my wiring. Tomorrow im going to make sure the points are adjusted right.

hello all! its been awhile since i have posted on here. no changes with the bike thus far. its been about three months since ive even touched the bike. ive been doing a lot of traveling for work and havent had time to even look at the bike. i narrowed my spark issues down to bad condensors. I just said hell with it and ordered a Pamco last week. it arrived in the mail today and ill be working in it tomorrow morning when i get home from work. hoping to have it running again soon!

the next things to do on the list is new tires, get my rims powdercoated, and im still debating on a seat options.

Hello all! its been a long while since I have posted any updates. I have had a lot on my plate for the past 3 months and haven't had much time to even mess with the bike. I down to the little stuff with the bike but just haven't had the time that I would like to work on it. Between my job and my sons new love for sports, ive been busy! Im down to doing little things to make this thing road ready. I have a new set of spoked rims that I need to get tires on and im going to rebuild the carbs. And i also need to repaint my tank :-\
Long story short, I had the tank sitting on the floor in the garage and my son knocked a ladder over on it.  it scuffed it up pretty good...
ill keep the updates coming

Ive been back at it! I have finalized all the wiring issues and they are all nicely tucked away now. Installed a new starter button and on/off safety switch a few days ago. I didnt like the look and feel of the one i had bought before. I picked up a the new one from the guys at Dime City Cycles. I will have to post some more pics when I go on my days off. I dont get to do much durring my work days/nights.

I just ordered some carb rebuild kits today. Hopefully they come in on my days off so i can knock that out.

And one other thing, I bought a stock seat pan off ebay that I plan to have custom foam and cover made for it. :D

Just a small update!
Went on a little shopping spree. Bought some Duro tires, tubes, rim bands, and carb rebuild kits. For the Duros, I got a hf317 3.25 19 for the front and a hf314 4.00 18 for the rear.

the pic of the rims are the ones I picked up cheap. They are way better than what's on the bike now. The ones on the bike are pretty bad. I could probably break most of the spokes if I barely pulled on them.
The first pic with the rusty spokes are the ones that are on it now.
The last pic is of the better ones I picked up. Sorry that rim is dirty! Lol
