Found this in my oil pan???

Pulled off my 350F oil pan and found this 2" piece of hose? I've never been in the engine before and not really sure what it could be.... Looks broken on one end. Guess it beats metal shavings though... Any ideas?

I dont know the 350 motor, but it's not something you would expect to find in an engine. po has lost it.

had my cb350f oil pan off for cleaning and checking last night, just now finished the install.  on my bike, i noted a length of black hose running between from the oil pickup to somewhere (?).  all reassembled now, so i can't measure the hose overall length, or tell you where it goes.

Actually, that little hose on the oil screen body is happily in place. This is the same length, but probably only an 1/8" inner diameter... Somewhat flexible, not hard plastic.

Maybe the PO wasn't a clean freak and left it in the pan, forgot to fish out the old one?
