You're right. The tank decals would not have been seen in 1970. Same with the tank color, the chrome headlamp ears, or those instruments. However, those are all easily swapped parts. But your photo does show a black kill switch which I think is correct. To really know what you have, you will need to check the frame and motor numbers.

I think I can see a non painted caliper too.  The tank decal is obviously aftermarket something or someone's handywork.  Looks like a K0 with a lot of later year replacement parts.

As for value any idea as to when it ran last, known problems and good title ? Think its worth getting if its not crazy K0 money. Due to its condition and lack of some important stock parts you have some good bargaining chips on your side.  Be sure to verify the engine and frame vins first though before you get serious and take off the countershaft sprocket cover to see if it has thrown a chain through the cases yet,not an uncommon issue on the early bikes  ;)

Hi 78Whiteorbs:

I think the forum's general concensus is it's a K0 with several later model parts which is
fairly common for a 40 some year old bike.  Looks like a nice project.  If you pass on it I  would like to take a look since I am close.   Thanks and good luck to you.  Stickman

Get the frame and engine numbers, then we can get a better estimate of value.
If it is K0 and the later parts swapped to K0, you could have a very valuable bike on your hands.  Think you can get it for less than a grand?
