1977 550f carbs in a 1978 550k?
« on: July 16, 2006, 05:31:09 PM »
I was wondering if they would fit.
I imagine that if i swapped out the intake tubes as well, they would fit.
But, I'm not sure.

What is the difference between these two carb sets?
Is there any advantages of 550f carbs compared to 550k carbs?

Thanks.

Well, yes.
Move everything from the head interface to and including the air plenum between the two bikes.

All these parts are different between models.  And, you lose the bar mounted choke operation.
There is a long, long list of differences.

The F carbs have screw in slow jets, 77-78K carbs have Press ins.

What are your goals?

The venturi diameters and identical; 22mm.
