Velocity is a pretty cool channel to have. Not sure about the series cafe racer. A lot of people boycotted watching it after someone bought a beautiful sandcast model then proceeded to rip it apart tossing valuable parts into the garbage can.  :o

After that episode I quit watching it. Could care less.

I haven't heard of a new season in the works yet, but they do occasionally rerun seasons 1 and 2 at different times.  Occasionally there'll be a week where they play like 5 episodes in a day and sometimes there's weeks with none at all.

DVR-ing is definitely the way to go though, between all the filler and commercials I can run through a 30 minute show in about 11.  I swear, the whole show is [theme song -> commercial -> "previously on cafe racer..." -> actual new content -> "next week on cafe racer..."] rinse, wash, repeat (usually two of these cycles per show).  If you can't find it on TV, try searching links on sidereel.com if you're savvy with that kind of thing.

Still, I like seeing expensive cafe builds so until something with more meat on its bones comes along, I'm hooked.

I saw the episode on the Original Sandcast. If you can watch it again, you'll notice it (the sandy) isn't 100% original to begin with. I noticed the side covers right away and DUAL front discs. I think they (TV) was stretching the truth a bit about THAT sandcast!!!

they aired season 3 from october to november of 2012. For some reason velocity still hasn't set their 2013 schedule or mentioned when reruns resume. They don't have any reruns scheduled for this week.

If you want really good bike content, motorweek on velocity has a bike segment that is acutally produced by people who know what they are doing. The last one I saw had a feature on a racing manx norton and a tz750. It is only 10 minutes long and you have to wade through the rest of the muck that is motorweek to get to it, but it is really good.

Man, if you bought the HD upgrade for that sorry excuse for a TV show you are gonna be sorely disapointed.
Like RF said there is barely 11 minutes of actual content in each show, but there are glimmers of some sweet bikes that people make.

I agree. The show was a major disappointment.  There were a few interesting moments and a few cool British bikes but the camera work sucked and the content was lame.  The only way I could stand to watch it was if I recorded it and then fast forwarded through the crap and the commercials.  I finally just quit recording it.

Yep - that's my buddies bike.   It was a really nice bike, but not a sandcast.   Motor had been replaced, not a wrinkle tank etc. etc etc.

Nothing worthwhile or valuable got thrown away - I know, I ended up with most of the spare bits.

From what I have heard they are, or have all ready, filmed shows for another season.   There's some silly episodes, but the guys that produce and film that show cruise the forums - Wonder how much suggestions they will take ?
Yep, I'm the kid that figured out how to put things back together...eventually.

they are actually good about suggestions but they just refuse to drop the recap segments which was my biggest complaint (as well as the complaint of every one else on another forum I am on). Even american chopper didn't recap anything from episode to episode and that show stunk.
