Removing the primary shaft from a cb350f
« on: February 05, 2013, 06:17:00 AM »
Does anybody feel like imparting any tips on how to remove a primary shaft from a cb350f? The manual says remove the 12 mm bolt and remove the primary shaft from the right. The bolt seems to be a 17mm.

12mm is the thread size, correct use a 17mm spanner. loosen off but not remove before you remove the clutch basket, to loosen wedge a screwdriver or coin between the gears (primary and clutch gears) to stop the motor turning.
Remove clutch ass, remove primary gear, spacer, bearing circlip, bearing and inner spacer. remove primary shaft from oil pump side.

Thanks Kevin. I know I should be able to figure this out myself but it is not moving at all. I stuck a screw driver into the gears from the oil pump side and it just split the cases apart no motion from the bolt. Keep in mind this is all completely new to me so I know nothing. If you've got any tricks at all, even the obvious ones i'd appreciate them. thanks
