Sandcast difference question
« on: March 18, 2013, 09:47:21 AM »
I bought a lot of mixed parts this week end, many make,model.....In the lot I have a big box full of cb750 engine cover.About 10 mission cover,10 clutch cover, some valve cover....I have a clutch cover for he sandcast model, and a mission cover too (according to the sandcast website),so I think I have a valve cover too.I havea different one.Under the breather cover, the casting have a round shape that cover the timing chain, between this round casting and theshape of the cover, there is no brace,ALL other I have have a brace in the casting.Someone know if there is  difference for the sandcast valve cover?

The very very early ones had cross hatching marks from the mold underneath...but I'm talking about the first hundred bikes.

They are on the inside.  Here’s a pic of mine before it was cleaned up.  Very rare.  I'll have to get a shot of it now that it's clean.
