The event in Russia was a great demonstration of the destructive power of an event of that type and it never even hit the ground but exploded 3-6 miles up and knocked down an estimated 80 million trees. There has been a documentary on TV about it before.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tunguska_event

I posted a link to regional radars not long ago.  Chuks of some kind of space junk. Were. Showing up at the contemporary time across several states .

Prolly more likely your bike dies or parked 'cuz of carb problems.  My friend himself died last week of either massive coronary prob or anurism. His sister found him in the garage.  Sheet cake 4 his 53rd birthday arrived after. He died. His 550 waas stolen inthe '80's in california..

I've seen a couple of programs re : this event. Just saw one recently that suggests this asteroid/meteor was no more than 20 feet in diameter! If true we are more vulnerable than previously thought as no one is tracking asteroids this small.  :o
