CB750 Caliper "Seat, Pad" Part
« on: February 04, 2013, 12:07:36 PM »
I have been trying to find a source for the pad that goes between the brake puck and the brake piston, originally known as part# 45151-300-000. My OEM parts seller tells me that it's "nationally backordered" which translated usually means "you can't get it from Honda". What's the source for this part or its modern superseded replacement? Also, I understand that the original caliper pin holder(s), parts # 45116-300-030 and 45116-323-020 are no longer available as well - what's the replacement? Has anyone come up with a hardened or anti-friction coated pin holder that won't need replacement every 40,000 miles?

I have both.  The seat pad is new in the packaging.  The pin is totally refurbished.  Do you need just the pin or you want the whole bracket?  I have a few of them that I soda blasted and painted.

I need a bunch - have you just one, or....?

And how is it that a part as important as this in the braking system is not available and/or superseded?
