Anybody done this?  Hike in the Canyon, stay at the Phantom Ranch and hike back the next day?

I did about ten years ago- great time.  I took the Bright Angel Trail in December of 2003, and I need to get back in shape to do it again!

I had friends do that down at geo camp, it will be hotter than hell by June.
Bring lots of water with you was the recommendation and get in shape with a loaded pack with hill work.

+1
Definitely bring lots of water. My wife and I went there on our honeymoon 24 years ago, made it about halfway down and realized we wouldn't have enough water to get to the bottom and make it back. Good thing we turned around when we did because we barely had any water left when we got back to the top.

They say to hike wet - means soak your cloth with water, not wet your pants ;)
