Just ride.  Who gives a sh!it about what some newspaper article says and thinks.  If you get to the point where you don't feel comfortable anymore ...then don't ride.  No shame in that, we all have to give up certain activities at some point.  Been riding since I was 21....about 34 years now...don't plan on giving it up anytime soon.  Don't care about anybody's statistics...only how I feel about it. :)

+100. thats it.just ride.

Ride as much as you can, and nobody will call you a pussy when you finally go to electric start when you are 60 or maybe 70ish..

But windshields,..pretty sure them are for girls...

Oh man, I imagine that you were giggling with that response Frank!  ;D

I agree the bottom line should be... don't over think this. Ride baby ride.

Agreed, but quitting because you want to is a lot different than having some official who doesnt know you tell you youre done. As well it has already been proposed that insurance rates for older riders be raised. I would rather be riding than thinking about this stuff too, and if it wasnt for the 2+ feet of snow we got last night...

Nothing like 2 feet of snow to make you feel old.

When non-riders write articles and studies it is not necessarily because they are trying to advance motorcycling. The texters would legislate you off the road before they would stop their unsafe habits.
I'm just about to move to the GHOF age group and have asked myself when will I stop? Certainly not yet. But I do limit my riding to safer roads and safer times and fair weather.
I ask myself if my CB will make it that far and I'm pretty sure it will.

We got just a few inches of the white stuff yesterday and riding is still a couple months away but I can see the days getting longer. :)

Seven fiver four for some stupid reason a good Vancouver lad moved to the F-ing snow belt I don't know, I put it to some cheap, cheap Tequila one of my old man's nieghbor's fed me in Calif on a visit I think he said $2.35 a gallon and being an ex pigeon how could I refuse, any how living where I do now snow is a fact of life and I'm still not sure what happened but I think the snow made me old. So the moral of the story is don't live where there is the white stuff is it ages you prematurely..
