he was going to work on one for the 550. that was in 2017 and some of us signalled interest on this thread.
according to mike he's still on it.

650 as a totally different style of alternator and with the reduced number of these left probably not commerialy viable

I recently stopped by Anders's shop and can report that the first batch of alternator kits are nearly ready to go. The quality is excellent; application is for the SOHC 750.

I just spent the past 3 hrs reading through this thread and I sure am glad it's still happening as I'm back in NH and need one and maybe a second for my 2 750s so I can run heated gear for the cold weather. We have bike Wednesday night bike nights that last into December(and later!) in Milford so being warm will get me there on the 750 rather than the Goldwing. It's 43 degrees this morning already so the heated gear is a necessity....... Done froze my fingers and toes as a kid around here and don't want to do that anymore.....
I'll send a pm to Anders right away for 1 unit. Second unit will have to wait for the scratch to come in.

Alternator rotor and the starter gear to be replaced if I have understood it right.
Use if own alternator cover.

Hi PeWe,
I need your starter gear that has to be modified and recommend you send me your alternator case with the stator still in it.
The stator wires are cut and the rubber gaskets are reused to seal the alternator case and engine case and of course the rubber block for the electromagnet. The cost is
$800.00 plus shipping. Let me know? Kit has a stator, stator adapter, flywheel, Flywheel adapter, regulator, regulator connectors, stator extension wires, modify your starter gear,
starter gear seal, bolts for the regulator and stator and battery wires with eyelets.

I have ridden a bike with one of Ander's kit's installed and can attest to the fact that these kits really bring the 750 to life, even in a stock configuration. The bike that I rode was also equipped with an excessory outlet, heated grips, and provisions for heated gear, all made possible with the extra zap. It's great upgrade for spring and fall riding in cooler latitudes.
I have a kit ordered up and am looking forward to installing it on my K7.

I have one of these on my K2.

On a trip last year my 9 year old battery died and I had to clutch start my bike on the morning of the ride home. The battery was so dead that nothing electrical worked at all.

It was a 6 hour ride home with a couple of fuel stops. I could be wrong, but I really think that if I didn't have this alternator putting out these voltages that I wouldn't have made it home.

I was just looking at cycle X 20amp kit for $500, this sounds WAY better.
