Yes, I know that the Honda ID guide only covers models sold by American Honda. ;)

I was always amazed at the variety of Honda’s Japanese domestic models observed during my visits to Japan. Speaking of Benly models, I always liked the styling lines of the Benly CD125T

Interesting (definitely a pink colour)...never would have thought that red could fade like that. :P

Hot Wheels made some pink toy cars back in the day also to try and attract girls to their product.

Dream, sometime around 1967-68, the kids down the street from me had a Honda I've never seen since. It was based on an S 90, but was a sort of cafe style, with a long, narrow gas tank, and racer-looking seat. The tank was white, if I recall correctly, and might have had a red racing stripe on top? I do recall that their dad had won it as a door prize or something; wondering now if it might have been a promotional model given away when the local boat dealer took on Honda?
Thanks in advance! ;)

Sounds like you might be describing the kit you could buy to make a cub look a little racier. I forget what it was called...the clubman kit?

Yes, there was a pink colour on some of the early CAs, called Tokyo Rose.

The styling looks similar, but the tank on the SOHC 90 I recall didn't get taller at the rear like that one; it was more like a squared off 6" by 16" log, if that makes any sense. My memory is foggy in any case. ;D
Don't fix it if it ain't broke!

Your memory is just fine.................they made the tank you describe in vinyl/plastic as a dealer-kit. A friend had one of each style. When he died they were sold to another friend.  One of those kits is still in the original box.
