Moving key location

Hey all I am in the process of restoring a 75 750K and would like to move the ignition key from the handle bars to under the left side of the fuel tank. I'm sure may here have done this so if you would like to offer any information or advice on this swap I'm all ears. Thanks in advance.  Oh I did search the topic but still left me thinking I needed to know more.  Thanks

Just started my CB350F Cafe build and the tach barely moves discounted the cable and its turning (seem slow) but moves faster as you rev it up. Changed with a known good tach same problem. This is the only thing holding me from finishing it.
Yes the cable is New, Yes I had the motor completely apart.
