Well Kemp, although i dont plan to hang my leathers so soon, I agree that's it's a once a year occasion and we dont get younger, are we.
This has become an option for me only because i am building a new type of race bike for my 2013 solo racing and pensioning the Gpz even if it's still quite fresh.
main issue with a 4 hour race is cost. even if I take a low key approach of just participating, I'd need a 2nd rider that can cover a large portion of the expenses, helpers that you need to give a place to sleep and feed, rent pits, maybe even have a 3rd rider, etc. i am supplying the race ready bike and my fine riding after all....
Then add tires, fuel, spares.... Planning on contacting some people that did last year to get an idea of what they spent overall.
Could be interesting to hear from whoever has done a big endurance event about end to end costs.
