i'd just like to remind everyone that its not illegal to clean and reuse old fouled spark plugs,do it if you want.

Relax Dave its all cool, I didn't mean to make it sound like I was picking on you. :)

Check the resistance of your plug caps, perhaps whoever last worked on it decided to only replace what is necessary and now the old ones are played out?

Could be a lot of stuff really
The dirty girl-1976 cb750k, Ebay 836, Tracy bodykit
Round top carbs w/ 38 pilots, middle needle position, airscrew 7/8ths out, 122 main jet
Stock airbox w/ drop in K&N, Hooker 4-1

Don't trust me alone with a claw hammer and some pliers

Caps are about 3 weeks old, anyway I swapped sides on the condensers and the problem rested the same, so it wasn't electrical.
I changed the plugs and voilà! The bike fires on all 4's and at the first try it doesn't even need the choke or any thing.

send the old plugs back to the factory for overhauling.

Good now go get that plug cleaner and save your old plugs and use soda in it not sand. I have had one for many years they work great. But like TT said sharpen up the edges.

If it doesn't need any choke went cold, it may be a symptom of a rich mixture. I found this post of yours in a different thread:

"This interests me, but I think my problem is different.

I've noticed that if I leave the petcock open with the bike off, number 2 carb starts dripping gas from the drain pipe, at first I thought the screw was loose, but it's not. I recently replaced the O-rings on all 4 of them."

You have a carburetor problem amigo. ;) I bet a cyber beer if you pull your new spark plugs, they are already turning black...

So, should I adjust my mixture?

The first thing I would do is check the actual fuel level in the float bowls, using the "clear tube" method. A search for "clear tube" should bring up detailed descriptions of the procedure.

For that to work, I have to take the drain screws out and jam a piece of clear tube in to them right? Or, can I connect the clear tubes to the overflow pipes?

I believe for your carbs you must remove the drain plugs and jam/screw the tubes into the holes?

Ok, there's some things I forget to mention:

1- Parts for these bikes aren't common here in Mexico, so I'm running the bike without a filter.
2- After warm up the revs seem to climb a bit, but go down once you give it some throttle.
