Not really worried about the "guvmint" spying on me.  An old dude with a couple of old Japanese motorcycles? When these things get so cheap that your neighbors start flying them around to look for their kids or see what's going on next door....that gets to be too much.  How far up does your personal airspace go...do you have the right to bring one down over your property?  Don't want to be firing off guns in the city so maybe it's time to dust off the old spud gun. ;D

I smell a thread hijack.

I built one of those, except mine uses compressed air.  The "tank" is 4" PVC,  with a schrader valve and a pressure gauge, and the valve is for a lawn sprinkler(low voltage electric).  With the same pressure, it delivers it's payload reliably to the same spot.
Go metric, every inch of the way!

We used soda or beer cans when I was a kid.  PVC was not known to us growing up in a rural area.  The cans had thicker walls then and this was before pull tabs so you used an opener that punched a triangular hole.  We would duct tape several cans together with the tops and bottoms cut out in all but the bottom can.  The bottom can had a ring of triangular holes punched into the top and also a small hole on the side near the bottom.  Squirt lighter fluid into the hole, shake, and ignite.  We shot tennis balls as they fit perfectly into the can.  Amazing that no one ever got hurt cause there were a few times when they blew apart.  Where were our parents when all this was going on? ;D

That's an old memory,we did the tennis ball cannons here also. Seems like I remember a good smell about that.

There are other ways to bring down a small drone than A /A spud gun I can think of at least 3 with out to much effort.

So you want to tell BWaler that he can't race in the states hmmm interesting and of course this means I'll have to think of a way to nullify them.
Bill the demon..

For BWaler we can make exceptions, other Quebecers must face multiple TSA strip searches, nude scanners and probings if they wanna cross.
