Anybody here make their own headlight bucket?
« on: February 17, 2013, 06:32:58 PM »
I'm looking to clean up the front end a bit and add a bit of vintage look. I want to make a headlight bucket to fit my existing headlight and encorporate either a watch face and some LEDs or a small gauge or 2. I've got access to sheet metal tools, thermoformer etc. this would be in conjunction with a custom triple clamp

If you don't have access to the supplies at cost level, like a business connection I don't think it would pay to do it at all with the cost of materials and complication to make it, even with skills. You can buy a bucket with the hole for a speedo in it, it is a black bomber style.

It is cool and all and I am always for making stuff but some things don't add up to being worth it. Maybe a viper fairing from airtech plus this bucket?

There are other good options I just don't know where to look, I'm sure others will chime in
The dirty girl-1976 cb750k, Ebay 836, Tracy bodykit
Round top carbs w/ 38 pilots, middle needle position, airscrew 7/8ths out, 122 main jet
Stock airbox w/ drop in K&N, Hooker 4-1

Don't trust me alone with a claw hammer and some pliers
