2 years ago today. not much left of my beautiful city. will have a wee cry.

It's difficult to comprehend the damage and devastation. I hope the rebuild and recovery is speedy for you all.

 It's early for me but i'll tip a bottle of Jack Daniels in memory of your fellow New Zealanders .   :'(   I live in San Bernardino, California right on the San Andreas fault.  Been through some ruff earth quakes but none like the one you went through. I try not to think about the big one coming. Mother nature can real cruel when she wants too.    :(

sadly Dave we are still in demolition mode, the inner city is still closed to the public. meant to be finished pulling the last of the damaged buildings by the middle of this year. Thankfully we haven't had a big one for a wee while now so the rebuild can begin.

i thought the area might be "condemed"and not to rebuild on the same site?its a long slow repair of infrastructure.

Nothing wrong with keeping an eye on it Scunny, change happens way too fast these days.. {except when you are riding the treadly pissed}   ;D ;D
