Topic: What to do with my Kerker 4 into 1

I'd imagine this should be pretty straightforward.  I just want to collect some opinions.  I recently picked up my first CB750, a 71 K model for a sweet deal of $500 bucks.  As it turns out, it has a Kerker 4 - 1 on it.  I've been doing quite a bit of work on this bike, and I'm getting to the exhaust.  The pipes have some minor rust spots on them.  Nothing to be to concerned about, but it is something I'd like to arrest immediately.  I'm wondering what I should do after sanding and treating the rust.  I'm considering painting with a high temp paint or wrapping, neither option being something I'd exactly say I'm thrilled about.  If anyone here has some alternatives, I'd love to hear them.  They are presently flat black.

I am planning on pulling mine this weekend and having them ceramic powder coated. I got a quote from a local shop that it'll run about $50 to get them coated. I just need to sort out how to clean them up first. I think I'm going to try setting up a soda blasting rig. I'll post some pics once it's done.

Ceramic coating is certainly a great option, although it can beca little pricy.
I have two Kerkers, one is chrome plated which I really like. The other is flat black, but that bike will be for sale soon.
Chrome plating is very expensive, maybe $400.

Wow bagger - $50 sounds really cheap, you sure it's not just powder coated a ceramic color?

I was suspicious about the price but I was specific asking for ceramic coating and the guys claims that's what he'll put on. I'm going to check out some of his previous work before I let him at mine.

That said, I've always assumed I had a Kerker but never had it confirmed. This look  like a Kerker to you or something else?

I had a Kerker treated with a ceramic coating for my racebike. (titanium grey) It's been great, is easy to clean, doesn't discolour, and it's cold to the touch within three minutes. They bake the carbon out of it & do inside & out. I think I paid $165.

Ceramic powder coating eh?  I should have known this forum wouldn't let me down.  I had never even thought about that.  I'll be looking around Saint Louis to see if anyone offers that service.  Thanks for the suggestion.  Now If I could just find a way to not get pissed off every time I see clip ons when I picked clubman bars and clip ons were obviously the better choice.

Anyway, if I am unable to find someone who can do ceramic powder coating, or do it for a reasonable price, I may do the wrap.  I'm not wild about potentially having to tune the carbs more, but I do kind of like how it looks.  Anyone have experience with that?  I'm more familiar with doing it on cars, but I have also heard that it can tend to rot the exhaust.  Not sure what to believe.
